Endovascular Embolization with n-Butyl Cyanoacrylate for Ruptured Distal Posterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery Dissecting Aneurysm

Abstract Parent artery occlusion is a definitive treatment method for preventing rebleeding of dissecting aneurysms. We herein report case ruptured distal posterior inferior cerebellar (PICA) aneurysm treated with internal trapping using n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate (NBCA). A 65-year-old man visited our hospital complaint headache and neck pain that began 1 week before his arrival. He had history spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage unknown cause. Computed tomography the brain revealed small amount hemorrhage, subtraction angiogram showed PICA aneurysm. placed guiding catheter in left vertebral an intermediate PICA. microcatheter was guided toward proximal side wedged into parent artery. The 50% NBCA. postoperative course uneventful, patient discharged 3 weeks after without any neurological deficit.
